Feeding Those in Need

From the time that I was a little girl, I knew that my ministry was to help people. Whether it was to help a single mom by combing her daughter's hair because she didn't have time, riding along with my mom to the convalescent centers to visit people who didn't have families, or try to administer first aid to someone who was hurt. I knew that it was my job to help.

As I drive through the city streets, sit in the drive-thru of a fast food restaurant, and even in pass through the parking lot of our shopping centers, we see people asking for food on a daily basis. It would hurt my heart to tell someone that i didn't have money for them to get something to eat, even though it was the truth. There were other times when i would give them what i had just purchased for myself, but i could stand to miss a meal considering that I'm not sure how many meals they've already missed.

It was placed on my heart to start making lunch sacks in a clear Ziploc bag with pre packaged items and water in them that can be stored safely in my car and handed out at a moments notice. Every day, I'll put four or five bags in the front seat with me on the way to work, and if i see someone in need, I pull over and bless them.

Please join me in helping to feed someone today by doing the same. I'm anxious to hear your feedback.

Have a wonderful day on purpose!
